The author provided review of the literature in the field of criminalistics about persons who have right to initiate the versions during preliminary investigation and at a trial. The opportunities of bringing up the versions by crime victim, victim's representative, crime suspect (the accused), defense counsel are explored. Author's vision of improvement of criminalistics theory for the versions bringing up and examination during investigation of the crimes is formed.
